This is the Cha-am Hash Report, for Hash #169 January 7th 2012
The 2 virgin hares & I arrived at the Rama VI Army Base at 2 p.m. to hang the HHH signs &
double check the paper trail before the actual run started. We covered most of the trail except
near the beach as we just scanned to see if the painted arrows were still on the sand & they
appeared to be. The only place we didn't cover was the runners furthermost point because of a '
entry / no entry ' problem at an inside guard shack where the walkers made their first left turn to the
beach & the beautiful sea view.
Surprise of all surprises was the return of Odd-Sox, one of the original hares until he took himself
out a little while back.
I was very glad to see him & thought he could help out the walkers the easy way. All was going well
until the little General & I went down to the split & near the beach. I saw Odd-Sox leading all the
walkers ' off paper ' & not on the beach. Instead he lead them upon firm grass & right through a
beautiful Thai families garden! He knew the old way but he was clearly ' offpaper.' I hope the
Rama VI Army post will let us come back after we damaged their garden.
Remember hashers, we must respect Thailand & all it's land.
As hare's we changed our hash names for that day only. VD was ' Major Dickhead,' Poncho was '
Private Dickhead,' & My Little Cookie was ' My Little General.' I take total blame for any trail
markings that were not properly double checked.
I also take any blame for our slowness within the circle as I didn't double check with BB our Beer
master to get assistance with the down- downs, which caused the Lil' General to be gone at times.
But I wasn't offered any help by any of the approximate 60 runners that were there.
Two good things that happened were the 1st. time ' raffle for pay.' Amazingly I sold all 50 tickets
10 minutes before the run started. It all went well & when we arrived at Tik's place / Dave the
Raves, I told him that Cannonballs drew his lucky number.
Dave the Rave said; " There is a God."
Dave got the big prize.

Secondly was the hash snacks made by My Little General & guys I'm telling you she went to
the Chat Chai market at 7 a.m. & was home cooking until almost 1 p.m., even I was doing a
little cooking. From what I heard & understand the snacks were enjoyed by all & her special
spicy sauce too!
The circle was kind of slow at times, but let us not forget with about 60 people talking it's not
easy to control. Many of you are were lucky we didn't call you in because of your ' big mouths '
& you know who you are. I heard good things & bad things about the run, but that's the way it
is on almost every run.
We wish to thank all of you for a great turnout, a good raffle, a great choir & a verydecent ' Tall
mans ' song to My Little General, She was a little shy to play some of the games.
A good crowd went to the On, On dinner, a few more than expected. Those missed were
Chicken Legs, DCB & his lady & of course Micky Maow. You're very lucky Micky as VD & I
had planned to call you in for talking.
Almost forgot that VD played a couple of tunes & sang in the circle, but later confessed that
he wasn't at his best because BB ' forced ' him to drink while waiting for the runners to return.
Yeah, right!
Best lie of the night.
On, On
Private Dickhead / A.K.A. Poncho
